Does using Google Drive, Docs, Slides, Sheets, Calendar and Hangouts make you nervous? This session will assume that you have zero experience, introduce basic concepts, provide opportunities to practice, and build upon those experiences.
Google Drive: You will learn how to create documents, organize your folders, share with others, set and remove view and editing permissions, locate documents that have been shared with you
Google Docs: You will learn how to edit and format documents, and work with photos, tables, graphs, comments, etc.
Google Slides: You will learn how to edit and format documents, and work with photos, video, graphs, comments, etc.
Google Sheets: You will learn how to edit and format documents, and explore basic formulas, etc.
Google Calendar: You will learn how to create and share calendars, add events, and modify views.
Google Hangouts: You will learn how to initiate and receive calls, create contacts, etc.
How to prepare for this session:
Please bring a device.
Set up a google account if you do not already have one. You can use your personal or work account.
Headphones with microphones are preferred for use with Google Hangouts. We will have some available on site for use.
Request for cancellation or refund must be received in writing (fax/email) at the CARC office a minimum of 3 FULL business days prior to the event start, or registration fees will apply and refunds will not be issued. If you are unable to attend a session and unable to provide three FULL business days’ notice, please feel free to delegate an alternate to attend in your place.
