Educators across Alberta have been asking "how can we support our students with documentation of authentic and meaningful learning opportunities?", and perhaps more importantly, "how can we provide real-time and ongoing feedback to promote inquiry-based reflection and increase parent engagement?". This session will answer both questions by showcasing how students can effectively use student-driven, interactive digital portfolios to develop metacognition and other 21st century skills. It will also show how educators and family members can engage with student artifacts, including adding feedback and prompting for deeper reflection in real time. Finally, educators will learn how to create custom Class Activities to promote student voice, support future planning, and help students develop a growth mindset.
