About the Session:

A healthy school culture is paramount. When there is commitment, ownership and intentionality toward establishing and growing a vibrant school culture, there’s very little that can’t be accomplished. Dr. Tarte firmly believes that in order to have the best student-centered learning environment, we first must have the best employee-centered working environment. His focus on developing and sustaining a positive culture is grounded in the importance of relationships, empathy, acknowledgment and compassion as the backbone to all successful schools.  

About the Presenter(s):
Dr. Justin Tarte

Dr. Justin Tarte currently serves as the Executive Director of Human Resources in the Union R-XI School District in Union, Missouri. Prior to this role, he served as a Director of Teaching and Learning, a junior high school administrator and a high school German teacher.

He is a passionate lifelong learner who believes each educator has the ability to positively impact and influence the lives of those around them. Throughout his career, he has had the opportunity to learn alongside educators from all across North America and is currently the most followed educator on Twitter (@justintarte) in his home state of Missouri.

Dr. Tarte married his high school sweetheart and together they have two children, Emory (three) and Molly (5 months). They enjoy visiting parks near their home and spending time together as a family.

Cancellation Policy:

Request for cancellation or refund must be received in writing (fax/email) at the CARC office a minimum of 7 FULL days prior to the event start, or registration fees will apply and refunds will not be issued. If you are unable to attend a session and unable to provide seven FULL days’ notice, please feel free to delegate an alternate to attend in your place. CARC also reserves the right to cancel an event within the 7 calendar days due to unforeseen circumstances such as facility closures, terrorist threats, natural disasters or extreme inclement weather (-35 C or colder). Cancellation notices should be sent to npenney@carcpd.ab.ca.
