This second day for the FNMI French Kit material will have the participants assembling the materials for their schools. We will then move into some new lesson development that can also be added once it is digitally compiled. If you have lessons or ideas that you think would be great to include, please bring the information with you so we can review and use it as well. The more ideas the better.
Jane Atkins is a life long learner whose interests lie in helping teachers and students in their respective success journeys. She has a Special Education background and has taught Grades 2 – 8 in numerous subject areas as well as in both official languages. Through her years working in Slave Lake, she gained an appreciation of Indigenous cultures and learning styles and has continued to develop her understanding throughout her 40+ years in the education system as a teacher, presenter and curriculum coordinator. She looks forward to being able to work with districts and their teachers as we strive to gain a better understanding of our Indigenous peoples through “Education For Reconciliation”.
Request for cancellation or refund must be received in writing (fax/email) at the CARC office a minimum of 7 FULL days prior to the event start, or registration fees will apply and refunds will not be issued. If you are unable to attend a session and unable to provide seven FULL days’ notice, please feel free to delegate an alternate to attend in your place. CARC also reserves the right to cancel an event within the 7 calendar days due to unforeseen circumstances such as facility closures, terrorist threats, natural disasters or extreme inclement weather (-35 C or colder).
