About this Learning Opportunity
Writing can be an exciting component of our Grade 1 to Grade 3 classrooms as students learn to express themselves on the page! How do we assess our students' writing without stifling their creativity? How do we ensure that our assessment practices help our students improve their writing? Join Karen for this practical session that will address ways to motivate students to write and provide assessment practices which will maintain our students' willingness to take risks.

About the Facilitator

Karen Filewych
Karen has over twenty-five years of educational experience as an elementary teacher, school administrator, and language arts consultant. She enjoys sharing her passion for literacy with both teachers and students!
