About this Learning Opportunity

Calming the Chaos


This class will utilize humor, psychoeducation, and a deeper understanding of our bodies stress responses to support staff in regulating the difficult emotions and behaviors in our classrooms, schools and homes.
Calming the Chaos is led by Rocky PCN’s Behavioral Consultant, Candice Larson BSW RSW. Candice utilizes her sense of humor and extensive experience supporting families with trauma, mental illness, and other
challenges to add real world examples and strategies to this learning opportunity.

About the Facilitator

Candice Larson

Candice has worked with families and children her entire career. She began her journey working with Child and Family Services in Southern Alberta where she was fortunate enough to gain experience working with both Foster families and Biological families. She chaired the Southern Alberta Placement Committee for two years, working with an interdisciplinary team to find or create placements for children with significant challenges.
