About this learning opportunity

"In this community of practice, school leaders establishing and refining Collaborative Response frameworks will have a focus on numeracy will have a chance to connect and network with other participating leaders, share practices that are leading to success for students and staff in the area of numeracy, and access a variety of resources and samples. As part of the community of practice, school leaders will establish an action plan for their Collaborative Response work with a focus on numeracy and use it as a guide for sharing and planning next steps forward. Each month, participants will be expected to come back to share one piece of their action plan as evidence of the work as it evolves in their school.

The goals of this community of practice are to:
- Deepen an understanding of Collaborative Response as it relates to numeracy as a support focus area and refine structures and processes to respond to the needs of students.
- Network with a variety of schools and develop a community of practice that can extend beyond the scope of this learning opportunity.
- Connect to literature related to Collaborative Response and numeracy to initiate further discussion and exploration
- Collectively develop and share resources to support Collaborative Response structures and frameworks with a focus on numeracy in a variety of school contexts, that honour staff and student diversity.

About the facilitator(s)

Digital Learning Liaison - Jigsaw Learning
Jennifer Ferguson readily engages in opportunities to build her capacity as a leader and as a result her journey has led her into a unique role as Digital Learning Liaison with Jigsaw Learning. While currently focused on enhancing collaborative structures and processes by aligning digital supports, her background in education is vast. Jennifer’s years as a K-12 classroom teacher, learning coach, and district coordinator have afforded her a wide array of experiences including but not limited to strategic planning, engaging as a member of Curriculum Working Groups, and leading professional learning endeavours.
